Cavalier Mk2 - Saloon & Hatchback 1981 - 1988

Launched in 1981 the Cavalier Mk2 was the successful replacment for the Cavalier Mk1.  It took the fight to Ford who launched the Sierra in 1982 and stole a march as it was front wheel drive while the Sierra was rear wheel drive.  Click on the link to read more.

The Cavalier Mk2 Convertible was a Hammond and Thiede built car based on the 3-door Cavalier Mk2 body.  Introduced in 1984.  Click on the link to read more.

Cavalier Mk2 - Calibre 1988

The Cavalier Mk2 Calibre has the honnor of being the last Cavalier Mk2 model to be introduced.  It was a run out Special Edition based on the SRi 130.  However it had various bits added by Irmscher and Tickford’s.  Click on the link to find what.

Club, Commander and Antibes are all Special Editions of the Cavalier Mk2.  Did you know that Antibes is a Mediterranean resort in the Alpes-Maritimes department of South Eastern France, on the Côte d'Azur between Cannes and Nice?  I thouhg not.  Click on the link to read more.

Ascona C 1981- 1988

The Ascona C is Opel’s version of the Cavalier Mk2.  Variants included the 3-door which was only sold for a very limited time in the UK and different trim levels.  Including heated seats and AIr- Conditioning not seen on UK cars.  Click on the link to find out more.
